About the job Project Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform takeoffs for construction projects, primarily Multi-Family (For Rent) and Single-Family Residential (For Sale)
- Review and itemize plan revisions (delta changes) between the new and older drawing sets
- Conduct project/job analysis by comparing completed job costs against takeoff quantities
- Assist with unit count tracking and weekly job cost forecasting
- Support weekly job costing meetings, helping transition projects through various production stages (Trenching, Exterior Prime, Production, After Carpets, Completed)
- Maintain and update Supply Pro Recordables (training provided)
Required Experience
- Construction industry experience, specifically in project engineering or assistant PM roles
- Hands-on experience with takeoffs for construction projects
- Prior involvement in analyzing construction drawings and costings
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 35 years of relevant construction or engineering experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in technical construction documentation
A Successful Candidate Must Have
- Ability to hit the ground running with minimal training
- Experience working independently while maintaining team coordination
- Familiarity with construction job stages and forecasting methods
Proficient With
- Togal software (Must)
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
Experience Advantage
- Experience using Supply Pro (a plus, not required)
- Basic understanding of AI tools and how they can be leveraged in workflow optimization
