Position Summary

The Global Purchasing Buyer, is responsible for executing the company's global procurement strategy, ensuring optimal sourcing, supplier performance, and cost efficiency. The role includes managing end-to-end purchasing processes, supporting cross-functional stakeholders, developing new suppliers, and driving continuous improvement in procurement operations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Execution of procurement in the fields of infrastructure, equipment, and auxiliary materials:

  • Collaborating with all relevant stakeholders from pre-request stages through purchase order closure.
  • Working closely with the CSUS operational team.
  • Engaging with suppliers, collecting quotations, and pricing based on received SOWs.
  • Identifying and developing new suppliers, evaluating alternatives and opportunities.
  • Leading negotiations and closing agreements/contracts professionally and in accordance with company policies.
  • Management, oversight, and end-to-end leadership of procurement projects, from initial definition and scoping through full implementation and achievement of objectives.
  • Consolidating and comparing quotations and presenting alternatives to relevant parties.
  • Managing procurement processes, issuing purchase orders, tracking and controlling commercial aspects until PO closure.
  • Preparing and analyzing performance reports and periodic summaries.
  • Supplier management and performance monitoring.
  • Creating an annual work plan and tracking its execution.
  • Presenting materials and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in global industrial companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement, including experience in equipment purchasing and subcontractor management.
  • Technical knowledge; ability to read drawings/specifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Decision-making ability and working under tight schedules and budget constraints.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Dynamic and assertive personality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of independence.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Computer proficiency in Office and ERP systems (Oracle an advantage).

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to assigned zone locations.
