Position Overview
Cloud Connect WA is seeking a Level 2 Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions that enhance client ICT systems and internal efficiency.
This role involves hands-on technical development using Microsoft Power Platform and related tools, while ensuring that all automation processes meet high standards of quality, security, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing technical excellence with strong communication and collaboration skills across teams.
Key Responsibilities Technical

Design and develop automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and other relevant tools.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation-related issues professionally and efficiently.

Prepare clear and maintainable documentation for all solutions and implementations.

Manage automation projects from start to finish, collaborating effectively with teammates and escalating when necessary.

Follow established Change Management procedures and prioritize system uptime for clients.

Apply automation design best practices and provide technical support to ensure reliability and scalability.
Commercial
-
Accurately track and record work time using ConnectWise PSA.

Meet daily and weekly billable targets set for the Projects & Automation Team.

Identify and communicate opportunities to improve client ICT environments.
-
Build trust through transparency, consistency, and technical expertise.

Recommend internal process or system improvements that align with company goals and strategy.
Team Leadership

Provide guidance to teammates on automation utilization, design principles, and troubleshooting approaches when needed.
Quality Management / Administration
-
Ensure all work meets company quality standards.

Take a proactive role in standardizing and documenting configurations, procedures, and workflows.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in ITGlue or other designated company repositories.
Cross-Team Collaboration

Provide assistance and knowledge-sharing to the Service Desk when required.

Support Sales, Administration, and Accounts teams by supplying necessary documentation or technical insights.
HR / Safety

Follow best-practice Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures at all times.

Adhere to company employment policies and contractual obligations.

Promote and maintain a strong Cybersecurity mindset across all work activities.

Work safely and ensure the safety of others in the workplace.
Other Responsibilities

Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.

Support senior engineers and management in project delivery and innovation efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)

Knowledge of scripting, APIs, and automation frameworks

Experience with ConnectWise PSA and ITGlue preferred

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong documentation, time management, and communication abilities

Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team
