Finance & Data Analyst

Role

Our client is a highly respected privately owned Australian craft brewery, located near Brisbane. This role will initially report to the CEO. The role will directly be involved in several improvement initiatives scoped and planned for the finance function, data aggregation, reporting and insights.

Experience

• 4+ years accounting or finance manager experience
• Bookkeeping and accounts reconciliation
• Preparing and analysing management reports
• Working with Xero accounting software (ideal)
• Budgeting and forecasting (ideal)
• Preparing payment runs and reconciliations (ideal)
• Working in an Australian business context (ideal)

Skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong spreadsheet and financial modelling skills
• Experience working remotely with Australian-based teams (ideal)
• Potential to grow into leading other team members in the Philippines 
• Education 
  Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or Business
• CPA/CA qualification - completed or in progress (ideal)

Responsibilities

• Maintain Xero daily with accurate reconciliations for bank accounts, invoices and transactions
• Consolidate data from Unleashed, Lightspeed, Shopify, Me&U and Rezdy into clean daily reporting
• Produce daily sales and variance checks for the brewery and venue
• Prepare the weekly 13-week cashflow forecast and support supplier and customer payments
• Own accounts payable and accounts receivable including coding, reminders and ageing reports
• Support stock, COGS and margin reporting including stocktake consolidation
• Build monthly reporting packs with key insights, trends and variances
• Support month-end close including reconciliations, journals and accruals
• Maintain labour and payroll reporting using Tanda and Xero
• Build dashboards that provide clear visibility of revenue, labour, margin and cash
• Maintain data accuracy and system integrity across all finance and operational systems
