Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and originality.
- Depending on the creator's skill set, this might involve taking photographs, recording videos, designing graphics, or creating other visual elements to complement written content.
- Review and refine content for clarity, grammar, and punctuation, ensuring it meets quality standards before publication.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice, style, and messaging across all content pieces.
- Work with the marketing team to plan a content calendar, brainstorm ideas, and ensure that the content aligns with broader marketing goals.
- Engage with the target audience by responding to comments, questions, or feedback related to the content.
- Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to effectively promote and distribute content across various platforms.
- Monitor content performance metrics to gauge its effectiveness and gather insights for improvement.
- Regularly update knowledge on industry trends, platform algorithm changes, and best practices in content creation.
- Work closely with other departments, such as design, video production, and marketing, to ensure cohesive creation and promotion of content.
- Be open to acting upon feedback from peers, superiors, or the audience to refine content strategies.
- Create a range of content, including product descriptions, blog articles, email campaigns, social media posts, and multimedia content tailored for e-commerce platforms and audiences.
- Ensure content is consistent with client brand voice, style, and messaging.
- Conduct industry-specific research to create informed, relevant content that resonates with target audiences and encourages online shopping behaviour.
- Stay updated on e-commerce trends, platform updates, and content best practices to keep the agency's offerings fresh and effective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Content Creator, with a focus on creating digital content strategies.
- Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates a deep understanding of how to write persuasive, effective content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Experience with video scriptwriting and a good understanding of how to write for video ads.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design, marketing, and project management teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
