Job: Senior Peer Services Coordinator
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000 to $53,000 per year
Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
Education: Associate (Preferred)
Ability to commute/relocate: Hudson County, NJ. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Description of duties and responsibilities: The Senior Peer Services Coordinator oversees the implementation of all Hudson County recovery center program elements, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
1. Program implementation and oversight
- Immediately reports any concerns to Recovery Community Development Division Director.
- Provides task supervision of and support to the interns and volunteer Recovery Coaches
- Serves as a non-voting member of the Recovery Center Board, serving as the primary liaison between that advisory board and program staff
- Organizes weekly team meetings to discuss program progress and coordinate future programs, as well as case review of all participants
- Assists, as needed, in the implementation of RC programs
- Oversees volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, retention and coordination
- Ensures necessary performance measures and assessments are completed
- Coordinate and implement trainings for Recovery Center Board, program staff, and volunteers
2. Community outreach and development
- Identify and coordinate with community partners to provide resources and programming for center members
- Develops and coordinates social media campaigns in collaboration with social media coordinator
- Maintains regular contact and increases number of referral sources to promote participant recruitment and community awareness of resources

Qualifications for position:
· Lived experience of addiction and recovery, with a minimum of two (2) years experience with the guiding principles of recovery
· Degree in social work, human services, or related field and/or NJ-certified peer recovery specialist (CPRS) preferred
· At least two (2) years experience in program coordination or human service supervision
Supervisory relationships: Reports directly to Recovery Community Development Division Director.
Skills, knowledge, Personal Qualities required: Must possess the skills, knowledge, and personal qualities required to fulfill the responsibilities listed above. Strong writing and computer skills required.
Amount of travel and any other special conditions or requirements: Must possess a valid drivers license and method of transportation.
