The Role

The purpose of the role of ECE On Call Reliever is to provide relief to the education centre to assure that Tamariki are well supported in their journey of development. 



Your responsibilities may include the following:

- Attending to children on a day to day basis from a range of ages

- Working collectively with Whanau, Children and other Educators

- Engaging with Tamariki and teaching them hand in hand in their journey of learning

- Playing part in ensuring that all Policies and Processes required are being followed whilst you carry out your role to the best of your ability

- Playing your part in the support of Tamariki in supporting the education centre to fulfill their duties in accordance with the Education Act

Requirements:

- You are not required to be qualified for this role, however it is preferred that you are qualified, if you are not qualified this could be a stepping for you into the right role in the future

- Must be confident and able to consent to a Conviction or Police Vet to the requirement based level that is required by the Ministry of Education

- Must be confident in working with Children of different ages, cultures and personalities

- A passionate interest in the world of ECE

- Able to present examples of where you have worked in environments involving children or expressing your interest in the space of ECE
