Job description:
Your experience in payroll will be essential to ensure a smooth payroll processing for our 500 (white-collar) employees at our headquarters based in Belgium as well as at our branches in France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland and Czech Republic.
As a Payroll Specialist you will execute varied tasks:
- You will accurately and punctually pay and process salaries, together with the social secretariats.
- You will calculate advance tax payments and bonuses, take care of DmfA (multifunctional declaration), NSSO declarations, form 325 and fiscal sheets (Belcotax).
- You will prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and ensure post-payroll follow-up.
- You will ensure the HR administration for the employee life cycle (in case of sickness, occupational accidents, information sheets, in case of termination of employment) and for insurance policies, sickness, meal vouchers, etc.
- You will inform your colleagues and help them with all their questions about the social legislation of the countries in which we operate.
- You will ensure the roll-out of a flexible-income plan (cafeteria plan) in which employees can design their package of fringe benefits themselves.
- You will monitor employees with a special tax status.
- You will provide timely, complete and accurate reporting on payroll, headcount, turnover, absenteeism and other KPIs for internal and external parties (works council, social balance sheet, etc.).
Profile:
- An initial professional experience of minimum 5 years is necessary, ideally in white-collar employee payroll work and in international context.
- You have built up a thorough knowledge of social legislation.
- Knowledge of and experience in rolling out a flexible-income plan is an asset.
- You collaborated with social secretariats (e.g. Attentia, ADP, Jobcode, Cintra, .). before.
- You have excellent communication skills, you are proactive in your work and you are a true problem-solver.
- You have experience with project implementation/change.
- You have experience with process mapping to local employment regulations and pay roll.
- You work accurately and discreetly, and you can handle deadlines.
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
- You are fluent in English, French and Dutch.
