Madi International is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team remotely from Lebanon. In this role, you will be instrumental in evaluating and improving our internal controls, financial processes, and compliance with UAE laws and company policies.

You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability across departments, while working closely with cross-functional teams and external auditors/consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute internal audits across various departments.
  • Assess financial and operational processes to identify risks or control gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE laws, VAT regulations, and internal policies.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise audit reports to management.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and prevent fraud.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support the management team in strengthening internal controls and governance.
  • Assist external auditors with company-wide audit report submissions.
  • Conduct three interim internal audits annually (as of June, September, and December).
  • Collaborate with external tax consultants to prepare and submit quarterly VAT reports with accuracy and optimized payment strategies.
  • Stay updated on insurance, government, and FTA requirements, ensuring timely compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA.

Experience:

  • 35 years in internal auditing or a related field, preferably with exposure to UAE or GCC regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of internal audit practices and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong ethical standards.
  • Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
