Role Overview

As a Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Intern, you will gain hands-on experience ensuring secure and compliant environments for businesses in the DACH region. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn about security protocols, compliance frameworks, and data protection strategies in Microsoft 365 ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Security Configuration:

  • Assist in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 security features, such as Azure AD, Microsoft Defender, and Conditional Access.
  • Learn to design and enforce security policies to minimize organizational risks.

Compliance Management:

  • Support the implementation of compliance strategies for GDPR, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Help audit and maintain compliance policies across Microsoft 365 services.

Data Protection:

  • Contribute to developing data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
  • Monitor data activities to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Incident Response:

  • Assist in coordinating incident response plans.
  • Participate in investigating and resolving security incidents under guidance.

User Training:

  • Learn to create documentation and conduct workshops on security best practices.
  • Support user awareness initiatives for organizational security.

Reporting & Audits:

  • Help develop reports on security compliance for management.
  • Assist in conducting security audits and suggesting corrective actions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: Completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security features, regulatory compliance frameworks, or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with a passion for tackling security challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Effective collaboration in remote and multicultural settings.
  • Adaptability: Interest in learning about compliance requirements and industry best practices.
