We're seeking a proficient Microsoft Exchange OnPrem Administrator to join our team in a fulltime contract for the next years. If you're passionate about managing and troubleshooting Exchange servers, ensuring seamless email communication, and optimizing server performance, this role is for you!
Role Overview:
You will be working for a MSP maintaining about 10 Customers. 50% of your work will be Server Hardening and Upgrades. The other 50% will go towartds Project work as well as Troubleshooting/Ticketing. Most of them are in a Hybrid Configuration. The Focus will be on the OnPrem Part.
There will be an onboarding phase for about 2 Weeks each day 3 hours. Then we will upscale to 4-6 hours daily and later 8 hours regularly. Working hours will be during USA Timezone while the customer is not from USA, means it is mostly a non-english environment. Google Translate is your friend.
This role is only for real experts and a deep technical interview will be conducted not only before the job starts but also during the onboarding phase etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers and associated infrastructure. (Upgrades, Patching, Hardening, Troubleshooting)
- Troubleshoot and resolve Exchange server issues, including mail flow, database, and connectivity problems with Clients
- Proven experience with Edge Servers and E-Mail Security Gateways like EOP, Proofpoint, OPEN Mission Control and others
- Proven experience in e-mail encryption and decryption tools/services like OME, Proofpoint, Totemo (kiteworks), SEPPMail and HIN
- PowerShell scripting for automation and task automation within Exchange OnPrem and O365.
- Create and maintain documentation and procedures for Exchange server configurations and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Microsoft Exchange Server (2013, 2016, 2019) OnPrem Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols like SMTP, POP3 and IMAP
- Experience with Exchange migrations, upgrades, and patch management as well as Server Hardening
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
