Electrical & Avionics Installation Designer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Avionics Installation Designer to join the Engineering – Electrical & Avionics Installation Department.

The role focuses on the design, integration and documentation of electrical and avionics installations for civil helicopters certified under EASA CS-27 and CS-29 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical installations and wiring routes using CATIA V5.
• Perform 3D modelling and routing of wiring, harnesses, bundles, supports and brackets.
• Define electrical installation solutions considering structural, accessibility and maintainability requirements.
• Manage mechanical, structural, electrical and avionics interfaces.
• Develop and manage electrical schematics using IGEXAO – SEE Electrical Expert.
• Prepare and maintain installation, harness, wiring and equipment drawings.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and related product data.
• Support Electrical Load Analyses and Electrical Interface Requirements.
• Support production, assembly, integration and ground-testing activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical and certification documentation.
• Support EWIS, Zonal Analysis, compliance demonstrations and certification activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EASA regulations and aerospace standards.

Technical Environment

The role covers the integration of systems such as:

• Cabin Management & In-Flight Entertainment Systems
• Cabin and mood lighting
• Audio/video and intercommunication systems
• Satellite Communication and Wireless systems
• Cabin LAN and passenger announcement systems
• USB and 28 VDC / 115 VAC cabin power
• Cameras, surveillance and medical/mission equipment
• Avionics systems including radios, navigation, GPS, ADS-B, ELTs, transponders and mission avionics

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3–5+ years of experience in aircraft/helicopter electrical installation design.
• Proven experience in electrical wiring and harness design.
• Good knowledge of CATIA V5.
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of aerospace technical and manufacturing documentation.
• Knowledge of EASA CS-27 / CS-29 and Part 21J.
• Fluent written and spoken technical English.
• Availability to work 100% on-site in San Benedetto del Tronto.
