What You'll do:
- Lead a database assessment and remediation program across Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.
- Review existing database platforms, both on-premises and Azure-hosted, identifying operational, technical, and governance risks.
- Define and implement database administration standards, best practices, and operational governance processes.
- Execute remediation initiatives to improve database reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
- Analyze database health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting capabilities.
- Assess synchronization, backup, recovery, and capacity planning processes to ensure operational readiness.
- Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks to support ongoing database management.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on remediation plans and best practices.
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and knowledge transfer to operational and support teams.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and configuration, including Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Solid experience administering and supporting Oracle Database environments.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning, monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working within Azure and Windows Server environments.
- Skilled in creating technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
- Familiar with database governance, operational best practices, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Comfortable mentoring colleagues and delivering knowledge transfer sessions.
- A proactive and analytical professional with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
