Senior Project Manager - IT Projects

We're looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for our client, a BioTech company.

This Project Manager will lead complex, strategic technology initiatives from inception through implementation. This role owns delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality and business outcomes while building trusted relationships with business, technology and vendor stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned projects within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality and business outcome expectations.
• Coordinate cross-functional and geographically distributed teams, typically managing 2–3 concurrent projects with individual budgets of up to USD 10M.
• Develop and execute project management plans covering objectives, scope, delivery approach, governance, team structure, roles and resource requirements.
• Manage schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and the critical path, addressing variances before they affect delivery.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain alignment on priorities, requirements and expected outcomes.
• Run project governance, including status reporting, steering committee engagement, decision management and escalation.
• Lead risk, issue and dependency management, including mitigation planning, escalation and resolution, while tracking performance against measurable KPIs.
• Manage project financials, including forecasting, accruals, budget tracking, variance analysis and reporting.
• Control change requests and baseline adjustments through the required approvals, keeping project data and documentation accurate and current.
• Lead project closeout, including post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, benefits tracking and transition to operational support.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline.
• 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years managing IT projects end to end.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects in a global, matrixed organization using formal project management methodologies, techniques and tools.
• Strong command of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience with project and portfolio tools such as Jira and Clarity; familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools is a plus.
• Solid project financial management experience, including forecasting, accruals and variance analysis.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, resolve conflict and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Excellent executive English communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information for both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience working in a GxP-regulated environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or another comparably regulated industry.

Reporting & Collaboration

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. The Senior IT Project Manager leads matrixed teams drawn from technology, business functions and external vendor partners, and works closely with portfolio and business stakeholders.
