We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a pioneer in manufacturing scientifically balanced animal feed and animal nutrition in Asia. They are looking to hire a Financial Controller position that will report directly to Head of Finance.
Responsibilities:
A. Planning
- Complying with all statutory/company requirements for the control of debtors/outstanding, purchasing and cost control of raw materials, revenue and capital expenditure and cash flow.
- Assisting General Manager in preparing an annual detailed budget of sales, manufacturing, financial and administrative costs as well as capital expenditure of Mills for annual budget package for presentation to senior management.
- Submitting year end package for group consolidation
B. Control
- Motivating, directing and coordinating the activities of subordinate staff so as to ensure at all times, the highest level of efficiency, economy and security in his/her respective areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring Mill accounting methods and records, including returns are properly kept and submit timely monthly returns to the corporate office.
- Apart from maintaining essential basic records, in particular, financial and operating records and returns whether specifically mentioned within his/her job description or implied, to ensure that all statutory and other requirements governing accounting and financial matters, its control and methods are complied with, including requirements laid down by relevant tax authorities.
- Keeping up-to-date record on payments made and received to ensure availability of an accurate report of daily cash flow and bank balances.
- Monitoring debtors outstanding and overdue amounts.
- Updating fixed assets in our computer system.
- Act as a custodian of assets and policies of the company
C. People Development
- Responsible for driving the optimum performance; engagement and retention; and maximizing employees contribution to the organization.
- Facilitates activities and programs of the Finance & Accounting team, FACT and Sales in general, and the company as a whole, to ensure learning and development.
D. Others
- Implements other corporate programs such as ISO/HACCP, 5S, ISMS, Branding, etc.
- Performs administrative functions as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related
- At least 5 years of experience in manager role
- Experience in manufacturing company
- Fluent in English both oral and written
- Have good communication skills to interact with cross functional and background.
- Proven leadership and management ability in the areas o strategic planning and organizational development.
