About the job General Manager (EXIM)

We are assisting one of our clients, a leading bird's nest industry player, in finding a General Manager for their Jakarta Head Office.

Key responsibility:

Overseeing a company's overall operations, strategy, and performance and managing multiple departments, ensuring the alignment of business objectives, and making strategic decisions based on the approval of the company's top leadership to achieve company goals.
List of responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution
* Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and goals to achieve company objectives.
* Ensure alignment of departmental activities with the company's strategic direction.
2. Operational Oversight:
* Oversee daily business operations, including finance, HR, sales, marketing, and operations.
* Establish and monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KP|s) to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Optimize resource allocation to maximize profitability and operational effectiveness.
3. Risk Management and Compliance:
* Ensure that the company adheres to legal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
* Identify potential business risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
4. Reporting and Communication:
* Report regularly to the CEO on business performance, challenges, and strategic plans.
* Communicate goals, policies, and changes effectively to employees and stakeholders.
* Create comprehensive reports on business operations and strategy.
5. Performance Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
* Regularly evaluate departmental and company performance to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
* Implement best practices and innovative approaches to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Financial Management:
* Prepare and manage the company's budget, forecast future financial performance, and allocate resources accordingly.
* Analyze financial statements to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a senior leadership in a retail or healthcare company, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements. Experience to live or study abroad (preferred).
2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management and Economics, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
5. Business Process: Strong understanding of business strategy, financial management, and company operations.
6. Problem solving: Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations).
7. Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Industry Knowledge: Experience in Retail or Health Industry is highly desirable.
