Location: Onsite, 5 days a week (flexible if needed) Redmond, WA
Duration/Start Date: 4/28/2025 - 6/30/2025
Salary Range: $49.76- $54.74/hourly

Candidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.

Summary:

The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Job Responsibilities:

Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies

Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions

Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes

Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes

Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

The purpose of this team is focused on azure security for Microsoft products..

Key projects: This role will contribute to building dashboards in Power BI, insights into how customers are using the products, and generate and analyze reports.
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, 50% data analysis + investigations, and 30% reporting/dashboard generation .

This role provides the opportunity to be on a team that is in the heart of the business in terms of security which has the highest visibility aside from copilot.

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 2-4 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: Engineering/Data Scientist degree is required to be eligible for this role.
Disqualifiers: Candidates with constant job hopping, low tenure, lack of experience with large companies will not be eligible for the role.
Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would be able to build dashboards, help drive conclusions, and pull and drive analytics on data.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, meeting deadlines, and ensuring to stick to completion dates.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum 2+ years experience with Azure Data Factory.
2. Minimum 2+ years experience with SQL.
3. Minimum 2+ years experience with Power BI.

Skills:

Experience with database technologies
Knowledge of the ETL process

Education/Experience:
