Job Title: Entry-Level Financial Analysis & Controls

Location: Remote

Duration/Start Date: 10/1/2024

Salary Range: $37.50 - $41.25 hourly

Candidates with previous experience working at Microsoft Corporation, either as a full-time employee (FTE) or contractor, are strongly preferred.


Role Summary:

The main functions of a Financial Analysis & Controls are to gather and analyze financial information. A typical Financial Analysis & Controls is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.



Job Responsibilities:

Support Corp Accountings Legal Entity termination program.
Manage finance readiness status of term list and support prioritization.
Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, and other business groups to clear final balance sheet (cash, tax payables, etc.).
Create legal entity termination accounting plan workbooks.
Perform liquidation equity accounting.
Perform ad hoc analysis to support SAP legal entity system inactivation.



Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience:

1. Minimum 2 years experience with General Ledger (GL) Accounting (journal entries, reconciliations, and excel workbooks).
2. Minimum 2 years experience with Audit work
3. Minimum 2 years experience with Financial statement preparation


Requirements/Qualifications:

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Basic ability to work independently and manage ones time.
Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
