As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a highly skilled and certified Data Engineer to join our team on a freelance basis.

As a Certified Data Engineer at LTON ®, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure to support our clients' data needs. You will work closely with our team of data analysts to ensure the smooth flow of data and the timely delivery of high-quality insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, transform, and load data from various sources

- Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to store and organize large volumes of data

- Perform data quality checks and implement data governance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data

- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with the necessary data sets and tools

- Optimize and tune data pipelines and infrastructure for performance and scalability

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner

- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend improvements to our processes and systems

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

- Certified Data Engineer or similar certification is required (DP-600, DP-203)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment

- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience 

- Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g. Data Factory, Airflow)

- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

- Experienced with Azure cloud computing platforms 

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Fluent in English, knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus
