**Position: Senior Design Engineer(Highways)**

**Location: West Palm Beach, FL(Hybrid/On-Site)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including surveyors, engineers, and subconsultants, while providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Take charge of overseeing the successful operation of the Florida transportation team, ensuring optimal staffing levels, high morale, and client satisfaction.
  • Draft proposals for transportation projects to be submitted to FDOT and other relevant agencies.
  • Prepare concise technical proposals and deliver compelling presentations during shortlist interviews.
  • Develop written scopes of work and fee proposals, engage in negotiations, and finalize subconsultant agreements.
  • Act as project manager, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Lead and direct transportation projects from inception to completion, guaranteeing adherence to DOT standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assume the role of Engineer of Record for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and execute detailed design phases of transportation-focused engineering projects, adhering to planned schedules and budgets.
  • Deliver presentations to potential clients and project stakeholders, addressing inquiries from both internal and external audiences effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Possess over a decade of technical expertise in transportation design.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Prior experience with FDOT projects is essential.
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, 3D corridor modeling, and Microsoft Project is required.
