Job Title: PDI Operator

Pay Type: Hourly Position
8- Hour Shift, Monday Friday
Position Summary
Executes Assembly/PDI inspections and documents inspection findings. Ensures that product inspection and quality process are accurately and properly executed and recorded on company documentation. Responsible for accuracy and completeness of the assembly management system completed at the PDI area. Ensures compliance with employee safety, and PDI process execution. Operates forklift to move materials and goods.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
· Safety. Works in a safe manner. Complies with safe work practices at all times. Completes forklift certification as required. Reports unsafe conditions or situation to supervisor or management.
· Processes Assembly Management System (Assembly/PDI Inspection) and workshop documents. Inspects, verifies, and completes Assembly/PDI inspection and other documents to ensure that PDI process are accurate and properly recorded on company documentation.
· Executes PDI and workshop processes. Executes PDI and workshop processes to standard, including accuracy of required documentation. Ensures inspections are thorough and documented. Reports any issues identified during inspections to supervisor and tags tractors for correction.
· Teamwork and Collaboration. Actively engages in PDI and workshop team meetings, and provides timely feedback to team regarding work topics. Understands organizational mesh points and potential synergies. Integrates team efforts across work team. Understands available resources, and utilizes those resources when appropriate.
· Leadership. Acts with integrity. Treats others with dignity and respect. Delivers on commitments and deadlines.
· Communication. Effectively communicates with team members. Demonstrates sound oral and written communication skills. Communicates effectively and professionally to both internal and external parties. Executes effective customer communication and relationship building techniques.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Documented experience working on a production line
- Prefer supervisory experience
- Experience operating a forklift, or the ability to be forklift certified within 30 days
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
- Ability to accurately complete PDI documents, including workshop documents
- Ability to enter data accurately and completely into computer based systems or applications
- Effective communication skills
- Able to effectively work in a team environment
- Must be performance and quality driven.
