Business Development Manager

Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and delivering on commercial strategy and selling the business to target clients and categories as this company grows. Your skills will contribute to achieving business objectives by targeting and growing various revenue streams across key industry verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering the commercial strategy including defining target audiences, engaging with key contacts, and delivering clients into the support and on-boarding function
  • Working with external suppliers and referral partners to ensure a strong pipeline of business
  • Managing an outbound program of selling documented in the company CRM
  • Managing in-bound sales enquiries from lead generation programs
  • Achieving agreed sales target and KPIs
  • Aligning the sales strategy to the business development marketing strategy
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the product, including all features and benefits
  • Communicating relevant material to key stakeholders such as the board of directors
  • Following business policies and procedures when selling, and on-boarding clients
  • Demonstrating leadership in proactive communications practice and quality reactive advice
  • Attend networking events when required

Required Skills

  • SaaS product sales and commercialisation
  • Business to business sales and commercialisation
  • Ability to work with and manage a large contact base and customer base in pre-sales and post-sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in delivering a sales program within a small to medium business
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Positive mental attitude and high energy
  • Focused and goal-oriented
