Leading Managed Services and Outsourced IT provider seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join this dynamic delivery team providing services to SME clients across a range of industries.

Ideally you would be based in the Northern beaches offices 2 days per week. They have a collaborative working environment with excellent facilities on site.

Responsibilities

The primary function of the Senior Network Engineer role is to design, deploy and support functional IT Networks and network security solutions. You will also be involved in some presales activities

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator
• CCNA and/or CCNP Certified
• Switching and routing with strong skills in VLAN network administration, implementation, and routing architecture.
• Solid understanding of current network security technologies and experience in identifying vulnerabilities, creating firewall rules, and configuring systems to enhance security posture.
• In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Ability to configure basic elements on Windows/Linux servers in regard to network or security requirements. Datacentre networking and Cloud networking highly desirable. (Azure)
• Exposure to Meraki SD-WAN and Wireless solutions and or Cisco cloud delivered firewall, Secure Endpoint (AMP) and Umbrella.
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (eg Powershell, JSON, Python, Perl)
• Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS or SonicOS)
