Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will work in a project-driven environment, collaborating with teams across engineering, production, and sales. You will play an important role in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of high-quality products that support the advancement of chemical injection solutions globally. Strong communication and collaboration are at the heart of this team's success. You will be encouraged to share ideas, ask questions, and seek support when needed, while also having the autonomy to work independently and take ownership of your projects. Role Responsibilities:
Project Delivery
Participate in new product development, prototyping, testing, and feature planning.
Design and develop firmware architecture for FreeRTOS-based applications.
Develop embedded graphical user interfaces and web-based applications.
Develop firmware for peripherals and communication interfaces.
Develop and integrate communication protocols including UART, SPI, I²C, CANbus, TCP/IP, Modbus, RS-232, RS-485,
Manage firmware source code and repositories using GitHub.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documentation, test plans, work instructions, and release notes.
Support firmware and hardware integration throughout the product development lifecycle.
Develop printed circuit boards using Altium Designer when required for development, prototyping, or testing.
Support manufacturing operations through troubleshooting, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in problem reporting, root-cause analysis, and product improvement activities.
Review engineering work, calculations, and test reports as required.
Analyze technical risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Support a strong safety culture by identifying and addressing unsafe acts and conditions.

Maintain the understanding of the role of regulatory bodies and applicable engineering requirements.
Role Requirements:
University Degree in a related Electrical Engineering program from an accredited Canadian or United States University required.
P.Eng. designation with APEGA is required.
Minimum 10 years experience within the oil and gas industry, with an emphasis on STM32, ESP32, and TI C2.000 processors.
Strong programming experience in C and C++ for embedded firmware development.
Experience with FreeRTOS and embedded systems development.
Experience with Altium Designer and PCB development is an asset.
Experience with communication protocols including UART, SPI, I²C, CANbus, TCP/IP, Modbus, RS-232, and RS-485.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally with engineering, production, sales, and other internal departments.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing deadlines.
A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of projects.
