Lotus Group is pleased to partner with our Edmonton based client in the Retail Fashion industry with an enhanced focus on offering the best service to their customers. Our Client is looking for a Retail Sales Manager who will play an integral role in the continued expansion and success of the company.

The successful candidate will bring a Passion for Fashion. The Retail Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of a retail clothing store. They are responsible for adhering to and implementing strategies to help the store achieve its sales goals, managing budgets, overseeing personnel, and ensuring that the store operates within legal and ethical boundaries.

This role requires the combination of exceptional business management skills, the highest level of interpersonal skills, and proven sales and operational knowledge. The ideal candidate will bring high levels of proven success in sales and service.


Role Responsibilities

  • Passion for Fashion: A deep interest in fashion and the ability to communicate that passion to clients and team members

  • Coach and mentor sales associates to meet sales goals while ensuring a customer-centric approach

  • Promote a positive customer experience by building relationships and focusing on client satisfaction

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including finance, inventory, visual merchandising, and customer service

  • Communicate and reinforce sales strategies to the team, ensuring effective sales processes.

  • Focus on increasing the profitability of the store while maintaining customer loyalty and satisfaction.

  • Motivation: Encourage and inspire the team to perform at their best, ensuring optimal conversion rates and higher average sales receipts.

  • Team Collaboration: Prioritize team success, collaborating and supporting the needs of "Team Revolution" over personal interests.

  • Complete shift scheduling at least one month in advance, ensuring optimal staffing levels.

  • Participate in weekly meetings (currently held on Monday mornings) to discuss performance, goals, and areas for improvement.

  • Maintain situational awareness of the sales floor and contribute to store objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Coach, lead, and motivate a team to reach sales targets and create team spirit.

  • Manage budgets and financial plans to ensure the store is profitable and financially stable

  • Proven ability to sell and encourage others to sell, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Role Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years experience as retail manager preferred

  • Minimum 3 years experience in retail sales

  • Knowledge of retail management best practices

  • Experience working in a high end retail environment considered an asset

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Excellent organizing and leadership skills

  • Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to be extremely effective independently

  • Impeccable multi-tasking abilities

  • Solid understanding of cost, profit, and turnover in a retail environment.

  • Comfortable multitasking, adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment, and changing focus as needed.

  • Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening.

  • Able to be firm yet fair with both customers and sales associates while maintaining a positive atmosphere.

  • Able and willing to be on your feet for up to 8 hours during a shift.

  • Full-time availability with willingness to work weekends as required.

  • Openness to feedback and striving for growth and improvement.

  • Ensure that the store complies with all relevant laws and regulations

  • Ensure that all sales transactions are processed accurately and efficiently

  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment

Compensation

A comprehensive compensation package will accompany the successful candidate. Starting salary range is 65-75K based on experience and qualifications.
