The Controller will be responsible for performing day-to-day financial operations and works closely with the CFO in supporting strategic operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage account setup of new customers

• Prepare and remit all required government documentation

• Oversee and assist with AR/AP

• Prepare weekly cheque/wire/EFT payments

• Prepare year-end and liaise with external accountants for annual review engagement

• Prepare month ends

• Prepare annual budgets

• Maintain all aspects of the GL and related sub-ledgers

• Prepare ad hoc reporting as required for CFO and customers

• Understanding of various ERP systems including Sage 300

• Liaise between group benefits providers and company

• Assist in annual contract renewal processes

• Maintain corporate insurance documents

Role Requirements

• Self Starter and Problem Solver with a strong work ethic and interest in team collaboration

• Excellent communication skills, both writing and verbal

• Must have a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation

• Ability to be proactive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Completed Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
