Lotus Group is proud to partner with our valued client in the Energy industry as they are searching for a Business Development Representative to join their team. Our client delivers products and services to various industries in North America and abroad.

With multiple branches, the successful candidate will be based in Edmonton and responsible for territory development of the Northern Alberta and BC region, including but not limited to Grand Prarie, Dawson Creek, and For St. John, along with sales, support, and technical knowledge of all products and services provided, manufactured and distributed by the company.

Product Specialist Business Development Sales Representative (BDSR) Requirements:

The product specialist BDSR is the product/ technical expert for and is responsible for technical knowledge, promotion, sales and support of the product line at our client. This includes all associated controls including the continued sales support to End Users OEMs, Supply Stores, Wholesalers, Service Centers and all other companies which may have applications for services and product line manufactured and distributed by our client within their designated territory.

The product specialist BDSR is expected to perform the position responsibilities in compliance with daily operating requirements, the Quality Management System and Safety Policies.

The BDSR is responsible for:

Direct sales of the product line

Relationship building with internal and external customers and stakeholders

NCR communication to customers

Supply quotes to customers

Follow up of quotes and administrative tasks to ensure KPIs are being met

Identify and record non-conformances

The product specialist BDSR will ensure the position requirements are met in accordance with our client.

Product Specialist Business Development Sales Representative Position Summary:

The product specialist BDSR is the product/ technical expert and is responsible for technical knowledge, promotion, sales and support of the product line at . This includes all associated controls including continued sales support to End Users OEMs, Supply Stores, Wholesalers, Service Centers and all other companies which may have applications for the product line and services distributed by Kings within their designated territory.

The primary focus is the development, sales and support of the product line distributed by our client. The product specialist BDSR is expected to achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.

Position Responsibilities:

Take direction and fulfil responsibilities from the VP Business Development

Perform technical sales and support of the product line at our clients.

Responsible for territory development, technical sales and support of the product line distributed by our client.

Develop a deep understanding of the product line features, functionality and benefits. Act as a product champion for the product line to internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Establish sales objectives by creating and implementing sales and profitability strategies, a sales plan and quota in support of national objectives.

Engagement and relationship building with existing and potential customers to understand their business requirements, challenges and goals. This may include attending social functions and activities with clients outside of the workplace.

Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assisting with an annual sales budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Leading the onboarding process for new customers, providing product demonstrations, Lunch & Learns, training sessions and documentation to ensure smooth adoption. Use of multiple sales techniques will be required including maintenance of existing customers, Cold Calling, Trade Shows, etc.

Promote and recommend the product line by identifying new improvements, opportunities and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.

This is an outside sales position, some travel and time away from home is required as part of the scope of the position.

Contribute to the development of product documentation, tutorials and knowledge base to support customer self-service.

Facilitate quote requests and follow-up with customers.

Work closely with the VP Business Development with evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of quotes.

Initiate Nonconformance reports where product or services do not meet customer Purchase Order, Contract, Work Order requirements

Perform self-study training on QHSE Procedures identified in the QF20.4 Training Matrix.

Assists in updating and continuous improvement of organization QMS, HSE, ERP system.

Assist with and Track RMAs

Inside Sales

Education:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or a related field

Proven experience in a customer-facing role in a related industry

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Strong communication and presentation skills, as the role requires explaining technical product concepts

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

A sound knowledge of valve and instrumentation product is essential, as well as a solid general knowledge of other products, services and applications.

Basic knowledge of oil and gas operations from drilling to daily production processes would be an asset.

Strong computer skills: Proficiency in MS office suite and CRM software

Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy in all documentation; including company sensitive information.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Functional understanding of imperial and metric systems.

Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.

Compliance to specifications, jurisdictional requirements, contracts

Clean driving record.
