Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Designer II / Project Manager to join a dynamic team. This essential role involves working across all project phases, from conceptual design to construction administration. You will be responsible for creating innovative concept packages and high-quality project documentation, guiding the design process to completion, and mentoring junior designers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, engineers, fabricators, product reps, furniture dealers, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
- Develop design concepts, select interior finishes and furniture, and communicate designs using 2D imagery and 3D renderings.
- Coordinate detailed documentation with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.).
- Ensure design intent is accurately reflected in construction documentation.
- Resolve complex technical and design issues to produce innovative, constructible solutions.
- Participate in construction administration, evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control.
- Review drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by contractors.
- Contribute to the financial performance of projects.
- Review and assist in proposals and contracts.
- Establish and maintain productive client relationships.
- Engage in business development and marketing efforts.
- Participate in company activities, initiatives, and learning curriculums.
- Support goals of altruism, wellness, and sustainability.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Develop and deliver internal presentations.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Skilled in SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong rendering and visual communication skills.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
- Understanding of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.
- Experience in construction document preparation and field observation.
- Collaborative and team-oriented.
- Ability to focus on multiple projects in various development stages.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 4+ years of commercial interior design experience.
- NCIDQ, CID, LEED AP, WELL AP certifications are highly valued.
