Director of Operations - FTL Freight Brokerage

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading full truckload brokerage company for an experienced Director of Operations. This is an in-office role, reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, overseeing logistics coordinators, client relationships, and trucking partners across Canada.

Director of Operations Freight Brokerage (FTL)

Location: Woodbridge, Ontario

Compensation: $130,000 $140,000 + Car Allowance + Strong Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a large team of logistics coordinators, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction
• Oversee day-to-day brokerage operations, including full truckload and domestic intermodal
• Develop strong partnerships with carriers and trucking companies to optimize service levels
• Work closely with clients to ensure smooth execution of transportation solutions
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve processes, drive efficiency, and support growth strategies

Requirements:

• Proven leadership experience in a transportation brokerage company (non-asset based), specifically in full truckload operations
• Strong background managing large teams in brokerage operations
• Experience in domestic intermodal transportation is required
• Deep understanding of brokerage processes, client service, and carrier relationships
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset
