Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Our client is a UAE based Freight Forwarding, Ports, Terminals (bulk & container), and Road Transport operator. The role is a senior position responsible for generating India sourced business through the companys Middle East terminals. 

They seek a senior BDM, possibly a former carrier, BCO or IFF employee with the following experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• A well-connected candidate who can influence decisions with Government, State Agents,Ports, major Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs), International Freight Forwarders, Ocean Carriers and industry bodies / associations.
• Knowledge cross the major sectors including containers, bulk freight, steel, plyboard, Electric Vehicles, Roll on roll off (RoRo) machinery / trucks / cranes and vehicles that drive on drive off ships RoRo ships etc.
• A senior person with access to management / decision makers with major BCOs, IFFs for both air and sea freight to and from the Middle East.
• Self-starter, hunter, work independently, good communicator, good commandof English.
• 10-15 years Air/Sea/FF/Logistics/project Cargo with a Tier 1 Freight Forwarding companies.
• Access to large BCOs, FFs, Project, Bulk, EV accounts.
• Access to government entities focusing on logistics, trade and investment (belt and road).
• Understanding of ports and terminals and the inter-relationship/value proposition they can build between company in trade between India and the Middle East.
• Co-ordination of company Logistics HO visits including trade shows/events in India.
• The successful candidate should have a industry related degree and be prepared to travel within India.
