Our client is a tier 1 marketer and distributor of premium quality industrial raw materials specialising in widely used mining by-products. They Seek an experienced Asia Region Industry Manager to lead client retention of existing and new business expansion. The role is responsible for leading existing client maintenance and expanding high-quality, sustainable new business.
The successful candidate will oversee commercial activities across the business, working collaboratively with local leadership teams with a focus on strategic alignment and operational synergy throughout the APAC region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the mining by-product sector business, protecting market share, nurturing existing customers, and optimising revenue.
- Partner with client commercial teams to develop and implement strategies for growing the business and provide the clients with a competitive advantage.
- Benchmarking costs and logistics to ensure efficiency, researching and targeting new businesses, and maintaining current volumes while pursuing new customers.
- Lead market, competitor, and regulations analysis.
- Explore opportunities beyond core business unit sales, such as sourcing, and identify potential similar business models.
- Regularly meet with key customers to maintain strong relationships and gain valuable insights into their needs, preferences, and challenges.
- Develop tailored solutions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Coordinate logistics, including transportation negotiations, warehouse contracts, and cost optimisation, working with Operations/Logistics Managers.
- Work closely with sales, logistics, and finance teams across offices to enhance company offerings.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in commercial management, preferably in the chemical distribution or mining sector.
- Proven track record of managing strategic accounts and achieving sales growth in South East Asia.
- Strong understanding of the industrial raw materials or mining by-product market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; an MBA would be advantageous.
- Experience in CRM systems, data analytics, and familiarity with supply chain technology.
