Our client is a leading Chemical Industry Logistics Solutions Provider. They seek a Director of Finance who will lead the finance function, overseeing all financial and accounting operations to ensure the company’s financial integrity and compliance with legal requirements. The role involves strategic planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and team management, with a focus on driving the company’s financial performance in alignment with its long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize current market intelligence to develop and maintain a 5-year rolling strategic plan.
  • Develop strategies for business diversification at the KSA level including M&A target assessment
  • Create accurate annual budgets aligned with strategic goals.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the company’s finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee treasury functions to ensure optimal financial resource management.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business control and decision-making.
  • Lead the annual audit process and ensure tax compliance, including VAT and ZAKAT filings.
  • Supervise the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare for and actively participate in Board meetings, presenting financial reports and strategic insights.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, coaching and mentoring staff on best practices and cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and implement financial management and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Direct day-to-day financial operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist the Managing Director in developing the corporate strategy to meet the company’s business objectives.
  • Provide financial recommendations to the Managing Director for business operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements and information.
  • Work closely with other departments to develop financial trends and projections.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to prepare annual audited financial statements.
  • Provide support to the finance team, fostering development and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Post-graduate degree in finance or an MBA is preferred.
  • CPA preferred; SOCPA registration is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 12 years in a Finance Manager role, with a strong background in journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, and month/year-end close processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Proficiency in general ledger functions and month/year-end close processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Spreadsheet).
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and finance software.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
