Our client is a Tier 1 International Chemical Logistics Solutions provider. They seek an experienced Senior Operations Director, to oversee world-class multi-site operations, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing processes to achieve operational excellence - across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the leadership of management teams who are responsible for:
  • Day-to-day operations of the chemical plant to ensure efficient and smooth functioning.
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Implement and enforce safety training programs for all staff and contractors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of professionals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters and promptly address any issues or concerns.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on site performance and progress to senior management.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in site management within the chemical or logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in plant management and logistics.
