Our Tier 1 client is a global leader in digital logistics solutions. They seek an experienced Director of Business Development to lead Southeast Asia's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- To manage Logistic Sales and Business Development in Air, Ocean, Local Transportation and Warehousing.
- Promote existing customer retention, cross-selling and upselling.
- To Build and lead a strong Business Development team, and achieve both short-term/long-term targets (monthly/semi-annual revenue & profit performance review).
- To Establish a national supply chain strategy, to ensure APAC Team development.
- To Lead a team of international freight/express sales and Cooperate with procurement experts, driving the team to perform and deliver results.
- To closely monitor trends on rates of Air & Ocean freight and work with procurement experts to secure competitive prices and stable space.
- To manage/monitor the sound Business Opportunity level of APAC team members.
- To set up a Go-To-Market strategy by region and make sure the sales activities go in line with the strategy.
Qualifications:
- 10 years+ of experience in logistics or global forwarding.
- 5years+ experience in New Business Development/Sales experience.
- Experienced in large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts
- Experienced in logistics IT systems.
- Strong Local transport / Air-industry / Ocean-industry network in South East Asia and Australia.
- Ability to lead negotiations, communicate, understand situations and respond in a dedicated manner in all kinds of conditions.
- MS Office Advance Level.
- High-performing Team Building.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
