Project Manager - Heavy Transport

Our client is a Tier 1 technical heavy transport company handling all types of cargo, including bulk powder, bulk liquids, heavy and oversized lifts. They seek an experienced Project Manager - Heavy Transport, to lead project planning & execution, coordinating cross-company teams, Govt officials, & customer representatives to provide best practice project solutions & outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with technical expertise and project management acumen to optimize resource utilization and maximize company returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily coordination with all key stakeholders, including operations teams, engineering, officials, and customer representatives, ensuring smooth execution of projects.
• Travel to project sites as required for operations oversight, customer meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee project operations and administration, ensuring optimal resource utilization to maximize company returns.
• Ensure all awarded projects adhere to HSEQ procedures and policies, coordinating with Operations Supervisors and the Technical team to maintain safety standards.
• Assist in monitoring and evaluating the performance of Heavy Transport employees engaged in project implementation.
• Provide insights and recommendations on operational policies related to resource allocation, procedures, evaluations, quality control, and corrective measures.
• Ensure all administrative and legal formalities are completed for subcontractors while guaranteeing compliance with internal and external requirements.

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Candidates should have 5 to 10 years of experience in project management, heavy transport, or a related field.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with relevant experience; a degree is preferred.
• Possessing management credentials is essential for this role.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Capable of effectively briefing technical and operational teams on project requirements and implementation.
• Skilled in balancing operational efficiency and safety while maximizing commercial and technical returns.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
