Our client is a top 10 full freighter airline operating a fleet of 11 B747-400 freighters providing charter and ACMI capacity in the global air cargo market. They have entered a new strategic phase by commencing scheduled services globally. For this new phase, a new Hong Kong-based schedule business division has been established. They seek an experienced Director to lead the expansion into Hong Kong, overseeing the establishment of a new office and managing scheduled cargo operations for the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the establishment of the Hong Kong office, including identifying suitable office space and setting up the necessary infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the Management to develop and execute business strategies and a business plan, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy to achieve short- and long-term goals for the Hong Kong office.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team by leading recruitment efforts, training, and providing leadership support.
  • Engage with key clients and stakeholders in Far East Asia, nurturing strong relationships and expanding the company's regional network.
  • Lead the sales efforts for scheduled cargo operations, developing profitable regional sales strategies while overseeing regional sales activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies, manage the financial performance of the office, including budgeting and reporting, and represent the company at industry events and in business negotiations.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of senior management experience, preferably in aviation, cargo, freight forwarding, or related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related area
  • Proven track record in driving business growth within the HKG/East Asia/APAC markets.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (preferred), along with English proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of the Hong Kong business environment and regulatory landscape.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in setting up and managing new offices or business units.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region​(HKG).
