Our long-standing client is a Chemical Transport Specialist.
They seek an aggressive, well-connected, and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UAE's transport and logistics market, specifically targeting clients who require vehicles, heavy equipment, and personnel transport within CICPA-restricted zones (onshore and at a later stage offshore). You will be responsible for driving new business, negotiating contracts, and expanding our footprint within the Abu Dhabi Oil & Gas and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target prospective clients, including EPC contractors, and maritime operators that require CICPA-cleared vehicles and drivers.
- Present our specialized transport solutions to key decision-makers, emphasizing our compliance, safety standards, and immediate availability of CICPA-passed fleets.
- Prepare, submit, and manage commercial proposals, RFQs, and tenders. Ensure all bids align with technical requirements and government regulations.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure recurring business and identify upselling opportunities.
- Stay updated on Abu Dhabi market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming mega-projects in the Western Region (Al Dhafra, Ruwais, Barakah, etc.) requiring secure transport.
- Work closely with the Operations and PRO teams to ensure client requirements match our fleet availability and that all necessary CICPA passes are processed efficiently.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline of sales activity, forecasting, and client interactions using the company CRM, reporting directly to the Sales Director.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience in the UAE (Abu Dhabi experience is highly preferred).
- Proven background in transportation, fleet management, logistics, or the Oil & Gas support services sector.
- Familiarity with CICPA rules, regulations, and pass processing (Security passes, Vehicle passes, Driver passes) is a massive advantage.
- An existing portfolio of contacts within ADNOC, major EPCs, and construction firms operating in Abu Dhabi.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
- A valid UAE driving license and willingness to travel frequently across Abu Dhabi and the Western Region.
- Self-starter, target-driven, resilient, and highly organized.
