LogFret seeks an experienced Truck Driver to join us. The Truck Driver must have extensive knowledge on the job. You will serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. For drivers ready for a lifestyle that keeps you closer to home, this is the role for you.

Overview

To deliver products to customers within a specific area in a safe and friendly manner. Responsible for the care and upkeep of your designated vehicle. To provide excellent customer service standards to every customer.




Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely and effectively perform basic driving functions to operate transport trucks.
  • Drives vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations.
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from retail stores and distribution centers.
  • Connect hoses between trailer and unloading/loading facility and monitor unloading/loading process.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulations to ensure personal safety and the cargo.
  • Maintaining communication with dispatchers, clients, and team members to update on progress, delays, or any issues that may arise during transportation.

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 2 years truck driving experience is required
  • Ability to successfully multi-task, works efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Good safety practices and driving habits.

Requirements:

  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Must have two years of proven work experience as a truck driver.
  • Drug Screening.
  • Customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Pre-employment background check required.
