Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and oversee all procurement activities for the Medical and Surgical Division. This in-office, full-time role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a background in medical supply purchasing or a related trade. The Purchasing Manager will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure efficient procurement processes while supervising a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing Operations: Manage all purchasing activities to meet the division's needs.
  • Vendor Relations: Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain high-quality, cost-effective sourcing.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee and support the purchasing staff, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and maintain effective procurement processes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform office duties and complete assignments from the Vice President.
  • Other Duties: Handle additional responsibilities as needed to support division objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: GED or higher.
  • Experience: Previous experience in medical supply purchasing or a similar field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in negotiation and vendor management.
    • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Basic computer literacy (email, internet, word processing).
    • Familiarity with procurement-related laws and regulations.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
