Position Overview:
The Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all perpetual inventory within the warehouse and the Great Plains (GP) ERP system. This role will collaborate with the Plant Director and Supervisors and act as a liaison between warehouse and plant operations to drive efficiency and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Great Plains (GP) ERP system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Monitor manufacturing orders and apply adjustments to correct inventory counts.
- Conduct monthly cycle counts and lead the annual physical inventory process to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Oversee and improve inventory control processes, leveraging Panatracker and other inventory management systems.
- Ensure accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and routing for manufactured items.
- Track and report scrap materials, identifying trends to reduce waste.
- Assist with handheld scanner operations and integration with ERP and inventory systems.
- Review, analyze, and report inventory data, identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Lead or participate in inventory-related projects to optimize workflows and reduce errors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3-5 years of inventory management experience with a focus on process improvement.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of inventory flow.
- ERP system expertise, particularly in Dynamics GP; experience with Panatracker Inventory Control is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control software.
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and enhance operational accuracy.
- Ability to manage projects, work independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as part of regular warehouse activities.
