We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team as a Payroll and Payables Clerk. You'll play a key role in keeping our payroll and accounts payable processes accurate, timely, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Duties:

  • Process weekly/bi-weekly payroll for all employees

  • Ensure accuracy of hours worked, overtime, deductions, and benefits

  • Maintain employee payroll records in accordance with company and legal requirements

  • Handle garnishments, tax filings, and year-end W2 processing

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues

Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Review and process invoices and check requests

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts

  • Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, or other methods)

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies

  • Maintain organized records of all payables activity

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher is a plus)

  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and/or accounts payable

  • Familiarity with payroll systems (like ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar)

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll tax regulations

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software
