Healthcare Billing Specialist (Wound Care)
Hourly | $19.00-$24.00/hr (DOE) | Monday-Friday, 40 hrs/week

Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented and professional individual to manage Medicare Part B and third-party billing for wound care products, while providing top-tier customer service to long-term care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and review medical documentation to confirm Medicare Part B eligibility

Process monthly wound care supply orders based on physician directives

Communicate with healthcare staff and consultants via phone, email, and fax

Submit and follow up on insurance claims, including resubmittals and co-payment billing

Maintain accurate patient files and documentation

Ensure timely, compliant billing practices and adherence to Medicare guidelines

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience in a medical office, LTC facility, or similar setting

Knowledge of Medicare Part B wound care eligibility and guidelines

Proficient in billing Medicare Part B and third-party insurance

Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred:

• Experience with PointClickCare software
