WHO YOU ARE

Assembly plant manager primarily involves leading and overseeing all aspects of production related to the assembly process. Based on the production task orders, the incumbent will allocate tasks to various workshops in a rational manner and make timely adjustments when necessary. The main objective is to ensure the smooth completion of all tasks associated with this production process.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

  • Directly Report to: Managing Director of Vietnam
  • Interact / Co-ordinate with (Peer): Other plant managers in Vietnam
  • Supervise whom (Subordinate): Team leader, Group leader

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production tasks

  • Responsibilities include generating production task orders and allocating tasks based on workshop's actual capacity.
  • Responsible for implementing production tasks. In cases of exceeding or insufficient production capacity, promptly communicate with the production planning module to adjust task assignments.
  • Timely address any abnormal situations that arise during the production process.

Safety production

  • Facilitating the discussion, implementation, and improvement of safety measures across all workshops.
  • Organizing safety meetings, safety awareness campaigns, and conducting inspections of equipment protection measures and employee safety practices in each workshop.

Quality management

  • Strictly organize production according to process requirements and quality standards.
  • Responsible for guiding and supervising the quality management of each workshop director in the department.
  • Responsible for organizing quality improvement and related technical advancements.

Cost control

  • Timely collect cost control information from various workshops and formulate corresponding cost control strategies.
  • Responsible for reviewing and adjusting product labour costs.

Site management

  • Provide guidance on 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and equipment management in accordance with on-site production management regulations.
  • Supervise the work to ensure a clean and orderly production site.

Report Management

  • Analyse exceptional situations based on various reports provided by relevant departments and propose remedial measures.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving the proposed remedial measures and inspecting their implementation.
  • Organize improvement activities based on product inspection data provided by the quality inspection department, propose improvement strategies, and be accountable for reviewing the improvement proposals and inspecting the actual improvement outcomes.
  • Organize subordinates' work according to the work plan to ensure the achievement of departmental work objectives.
  • Responsible for building the workforce in the department, proposing employee assessment and training requirements, and assisting in their implementation. Also responsible for conducting performance evaluations of subordinates.

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

  • Conduct safety education and training for department supervisors to enhance their understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Effectively supervise and implement preventive measures to address health hazards faced by department employees.
  • Conduct monitoring inspections of occupational health conditions at the worksite.
  • Participate in the identification, assessment, and improvement of hazardous sources within the department and implement controls to enhance operational safety.

Environmental Management

  • Provide environmental education and training to department supervisors to enhance their understanding of environmental protection and sustainability.
  • Conduct monitoring inspections of environmental hygiene at the worksite and assess factors that may affect the occurrence of environmental incidents.
  • Participate in the identification, assessment, and control of environmental factors within the department's operations.
  • Conduct supervision and inspections of fire protection equipment and environmental facilities in the department, ensuring their proper functioning, and report any issues to the relevant management authorities.

Others

  • Accurately and promptly communicate the instructions from superiors, conduct propaganda and explanation within the workshop, organize implementation, and supervise inspection work.
  • Cooperate with other departments to accomplish related tasks effectively.
  • Complete other work tasks assigned by superiors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor/Degree or College diploma (associate's degree) or higher educational qualification in operations management, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in workshop production management, with experience managing large manufacturing teams of over 500 employees.
  • Past work experience in large home furnishings industry, home appliances industry, electronics industry, or automotive industry is preferred.
  • Capable of using Chinese as the working language.
  • Well-acquainted with the organization's operational processes and understands the quality management standards and procedures in place.
  • Rich Knowledge of Assembly Processes and Quality Standards particularly in the context of sofa production.
  • Have relevant experience in coordinating and organizing tasks as a process manager as well as product-related quality and environmental aspects.
  • Exhibits strong planning and organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and the capability to coordinate interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise expression of ideas and instructions.
  • Maintains good physical health, demonstrating the capacity to handle the demands of the role effectively and uphold high professional ethics and a strong sense of responsibility in the work.
  • Familiar with environmental management requirements, promoting sustainable practices and compliance with environmental regulations.
