We are looking for a passionate and organized Logistic & Purchasing Manager to join our team in Shanghai.

MISSSION:

Control and organise the flow of goods (any components, semi-finished and finished products) from acceptance and sorting in the warehouse to dispatch and delivery to other company departments (intercompany) or distributors and end customers.

The Procurement and Logistics Manager will report hierarchically to the Country Manager and work closely with the commercial team.

In addition, he/she will have a functional relationship with reference colleagues in HQ of the entire Customer Operations team to support and supervise procurement and logistics services of the country from a management point of view, to ensure that the necessary supplies of machines, facilities, and services for commercial and operational activities are guaranteed in an efficient and timely way.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizing efficiently and at the lowest cost, the handling, storage, and transport of goods so that the products arrive at their destination intact and on time;
  • ensure periodically managing and interfacing with the Sales department to schedule purchases/orders for proper goods handling and stock management to avoid overstocking, undersupply and extra freight cost;
  • Support and verify that customer portfolio and sales fcst are always in line with market requirement
  • Supervising the distribution and delivery of products to distributor customers, checking that orders are processed on time, in the right quantities, and in compliance with quality standards. To this end, it manages and reviews all relevant documentation, such as delivery notes, transport documents (DDT), invoices;
  • Ensuring the correct process of inventory control, logistics, and distribution, customs clearance, ensuring the effective operation of processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities for the target market;
  • Manage supplier contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure completeness of contracted services, ensuring that all supplier complaints and concerns are addressed promptly to ensure that the project continues to receive uninterrupted services at all times;
  • Prepare service contracts, leases, and purchase orders for all local purchasing requirements;
  • Maintain procurement files, including all relevant documentation and supplier tracking system;
  • Ensure constant measurement and management of the supplier selection process, guaranteeing the correctness of the selection mechanisms through quality and performance measurement KPIs;
  • Planning, organising, and leading the process of soliciting tenders for services of interest to the target market, developing tender evaluation criteria
  • Manage local activity of supplier scouting directly in touch with HQ

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor Degree and/or Masters preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience Management Engineer, Economics);
  • Minimum 5 years project procurement management experience, preferably in the finished product, durable goods, and including service procurements;
  • Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving capacity, with demonstrated ability for considerable analysis and sound judgment to find solutions in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities.
  • Advanced Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel spreadsheets, word processing, powerpoint, CRM);
  • preferable knowledge of the Navision system and Microsoft tools for managing management systems;
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, stakeholders, clients, and consultants.
