Based in Stockton-on-Tees, this full-time role reports directly to the Lead Electrical Engineer. You will be at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge electrical engineering designs, supporting clients across various sectors including Transmission & Distribution, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, and Energy. Your Mission In this role, you will undertake and deliver high-quality electrical design projects, including schematics, single line drawings, and layout drawings for both LV and HV electrical equipment. You will mentor and supervise Junior Design Engineers, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost control in project deliverables. Planning and supervising the work of the EPS Engineering team, you will scope and interpret client requirements to deliver effective technical solutions. Your understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice will be crucial. Additionally, you will contribute to business development by building relationships with clients and generating new business.

Key Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Must be conversant with Electrical ISO symbols and drawing standards.
  • Educational Background: A minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering or a similar qualification.
  • Industry Experience: At least 5 years' experience in Electrical Engineering, with expertise in both high and low voltage systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project Experience: Proven track record in EPC type projects.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
  • Client Support: Ability to support clients in person, via teams, and through professional correspondence.
  • Travel Willingness: Prepared to travel within the UK to support clients.
  • Task Management: Prioritising tasks with a high level of accountability and a motivated, can-do attitude.
  • Client Rapport: Ability to build excellent rapport with clients, receptive to their needs.
  • Documentation Skills: Strong report writing skills with attention to detail.
