About the job IT Support Generalist & Integration Specialist
A leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions is looking for an IT Support Generalist & Integration Specialist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and proactive individual who takes initiative and takes an analytical approach with problem-solving.
The incumbent will take responsibility for supportive IT functions that impact client relationships directly and need quick turnaround times. The responsibilities may extend to involvement in more than one focus area, for example support, initiation of integrations of Billers and Payment Networks, ad hoc report generation through own designed and modified SQL scripts and monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Payment Network to Biller.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and stage monitoring of the Biller Integrations
- Participating in various IT integration functions
- Ad hoc report generation using SQL
- Monitoring of transaction irregularities in the value chain from Retailer to Biller
- Risk & issue management
- Participating in continuous improvement processes
- Any other relevant duties related to the role
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary IT qualification;
- Approximately 3 years' experience in a similar role, including experience in SQL, IT systems monitoring, MS Office suite (specifically MS Excel), and customer support;
- Experience in MS Access and the Financial Services industry with focus on the payments industry will be advantageous;
- Own reliable transport;
- Fluent in written and verbal communication in English and a good understanding of Afrikaans. Any additional language will be seen as
- beneficial;
- Stable internet connection required, fibre connection advantageous (to handle queries remotely from home, if required).
