Job Title: Transportation Supervisor

We are seeking a candidate with commercial, particularly in troubleshooting trucks during breakdowns on routes. Familiarity with electronic logging devices used in commercial motor vehicles is essential. The Transportation Supervisor will also need experience in managing multiple platforms, such as health and safety and training programs.

This position is TRANSPORTATION FOCUSED so logistics experience is not what we are looking for at this time. Please ensure that you are reading through the entire job posting prior to applying.
- Provide direction and support within all operating areas of the department
- Oversee routing & hired trucks in the service areas
- Assist the Transportation Manager with route optimization, re-routing, and the execution
- Work closely with Driver's to ensure productivity levels are being met
- Conduct daily role call of the department and fill in for dispatchers if required.
- Comply with all Employment and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures as required.
- Responsible to ensure that all shifts in the Dispatch department are covered accordingly.
- Responsible for scheduling vacations for all staff
- Attend the JHSC for Transportation as required

You too, put forward your strengths:
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- 2-5 years of transportation industry experience is a must! (not logistics, supply chain, or warehousing experience, MUST be transportation specific please)
- Strong computer efficiency and understanding
- Leadership experience including employee development and engagement
- Knowledge of the transportation regulations for the National Safety Code
- Ministry of Transportation experience
