Electrical Estimator

Position Overview
An industry-leading provider of electrical, mechanical, and automation services is looking to add a skilled Electrical Estimator to its team. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret project specs, drawings, and other documentation to estimate material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define the project scope and requirements.
• Leverage estimation software (e.g., AutoBid, Bluebeam) to build detailed project proposals.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities while upholding quality standards.
• Present and explain proposals to clients, ensuring clarity on project scope, costs, and timelines.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of material and labor costs for accuracy.
• Participate in regular training and development sessions to stay current on industry standards.

Candidate Profile

• Strong background in electrical systems and estimating, with proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Analytical skills with attention to detail, able to work under deadlines.
• Familiarity with software tools like AutoBid, Bluebeam, and Excel.
• Clear communicator with client-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in Electrical or similar field (preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) integration is an asset.

Additional Requirements

• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Ability to work in office and on-site environments.
