Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Manager Federal Government Project

Introduction:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee the quality management efforts on a large-scale federal government project. This role requires an in-depth understanding of QA/QC processes, federal regulations, and the ability to ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement QA/QC Plans: Design and execute a comprehensive QA/QC strategy for the federal project, ensuring alignment with federal regulations, industry standards, and client specifications.

Quality Control Oversight: Ensure that all project outputs, including services, deliverables, and products, adhere to the required quality standards. Perform inspections, testing, and reviews to verify conformity.

Compliance Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with federal government contracts, quality regulations, and all relevant guidelines and standards.

Process Improvement: Lead efforts to continuously improve QA/QC processes by identifying inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions, and utilizing industry best practices.

Risk and Issue Management: Identify and mitigate quality risks across all project stages. Provide proactive recommendations to avoid quality-related issues that could impact project timelines or outcomes.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct investigations into quality issues or non-compliance events, performing root cause analysis and providing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Testing and Validation: Lead and oversee the testing and validation of project deliverables, ensuring all outputs meet quality expectations before final approval.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for senior management, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting QA/QC findings, inspections, test results, and compliance status. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all QA/QC activities.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Provide training and guidance on QA/QC best practices to team members.

Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to project quality standards. Coordinate third-party audits when required.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Ensure that all quality control data, testing results, and audits are properly documented and stored, ensuring transparency and traceability for future audits and compliance checks.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction, or a related field. Relevant certifications in QA/QC (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, Six Sigma) are highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA/QC management, with at least 3 years working on large-scale federal government projects or contracts.

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of federal contracting, regulations, and quality standards.

Strong background in quality assurance and control processes, especially within government and large-scale projects.

Experience with quality management systems and industry best practices (e.g., ISO standards, Six Sigma, Lean).

Proficiency in project management tools and QA/QC software.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances for the project.
