Financial Reporting Manager

We are currently partnering with a well-established local bank in downtown Honolulu to help them find an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager. Applicants must currently reside in Hawaii and must be able to commute to downtown Honolulu. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is looking to step into a leadership role within a stable, community-focused financial institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review accurate financial statements and regulatory reports in accordance with GAAP

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes

• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and examinations

• Monitor changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance

• Support senior management with financial analysis and reporting

• Improve and maintain internal controls related to financial reporting

  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within banking or public accounting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required

• CPA license preferred

• Public accounting experience is a strong plus

• Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting principles

• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication
